Summer is definitely more fun with NIVEA SUN! My top summer wonder is CEBU

Cebu, the Queen city of the South, definitely deserves to earn the distinction as part of the 7 Summer Wonders in the Philippines. Talk about a myriad of endless possibilities! There is no stopping to what Cebu has to offer.

Your beautiful experience starts as soon as you touchdown Mactan International Airport. Are you pressed for time? What if you only have an entire day and would like to treated in pure bliss, rest and relaxation... then, I highly recommended to spend the day here! No travel time wasted! This fascinating city boasts of the best white sand beaches, clear blue green waters in luxuriously chic resort hotel settings merely 15 mins drive from the airport. Talk about accessibility!

Lets start with Shangri-La's Resort & Spa. I consider this my favorite beach in Cebu! The Philippines' Premier Resort offers 530 luxurious and expansive guestrooms.

Various water sports are endless! Diving, snorkeling, kayaking, para sailing, windsurfing, sailing or deep-sea fishing. For diving enthusiasts, there are more than 20 dive sites teeming with marine life within half an hour's boat ride from the resort, including the resorts' own Marine sanctuary.

The cowrie cove offers delicious al fresco dining in a charming beach side location. At night, this transform in an ultra romantic setting. Have an amazing candlelight dinner while listening to soft waves crashing against the shore.

Set amidst 13 hectares of lush tropical greenery with Kenneth Cobonpue-ish beach furnitures.

 Gorgeous infinity pool!

Such a perfect day for just plain lounging and lazying at the beach!

Hands down to the yummiest buffet ever! The Tides, featuring a buffet of International dishes, offers an interactive, open-kitchen concept that makes for an all-day dining experience.

Here's more! Newest addition is Crimson Resort & Spa

  • I sooo love this stunning view of the sea and shaded loungers by the beach!

  • You can opt to do these activities: fish feeding, sand castle building, beach volleyball, kayak, sea walker adventure, water ball walking.

Find comfort and luxury in premium guestrooms and villas with a charming neo-asian feel.

Saffron Cafe serves continental and asian-inspired cuisine in distinct sorroundings. Enjoy the buffet and catch the majestic view of the infinity pool through floor to ceiling windows.

This Waterpark Resort and Spa boasts of  556 elegantly furnished rooms. It consists of 128 deluxe rooms, 380 suites and 48 pool and jacuzzi villas.

It features 5 different themed pools. This is the Amazon River Pool- a flowing river pool that you can enjoy best in an inflatable tube. The Wave Rider- an artificial tide pool. Capt Hook's Pool- features a pirate ship and slides.
Nearby is the Toddler Pool - for the little ones. The Aqus Pool Bar- serves signature alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, light snacks and drinks.

A sumptuous buffet at the Familia Resto awaits you! It has four live stations: Japanese, Western, Oriental and a Dessert station.

The highlight to Cebu's journey to a fun-filled gastronomic experience starts with purchasing a Zubuchon Lechon! Each of their lechons is generously stuffed with the finest spices and ingredients, and roasted by hand over a charcoal flame by old fashioned lechoneros who are proud of their craft.

Quoting Anthony Bourdain (Celebrity Chef, World traveler, Hosts No Reservations) It is "The Best Pig...Ever!"

The essence of herbs and spices are evident in each cut of the tender meat. Very tasty, indeed! What goes into the pig: lemongrass, lemons, rosemary and olive oil. Skin is sprayed with coconut water as final touch.

A hot steaming bowl of sinigang na hipon definitely complemented the lechon.

Grab a pack of Zubuchon Chicharon for pasalubong!

Kamias shake boasts of its anti-fat properties. Pair it with your Zubuchon meal and feel less guilty!

I can still go on and provide you endless 101 ways how I love Cebu, but this is all for now. Cebu would always leave a special spot in my heart. warm and humble happy people, beautiful beaches and of course, the yummiest foods!
