From this trip, I have learned that one must really challenge what's possible. To my dismay, all Baguio hotels were fully booked on the weekend of the Panagbenga festival. But that didn't stop me from witnessing this year's blooming odyssey.
Out of 20 equally stunning floats, this year's Grand Winner was awarded to Le Monet Hotel. It pays tribute to French Impressionist Claude Monet's Garden in Giverny. Brightly colored flowers stargazers, malaysian mums, potted petunias, anthuriums and everlasting were used to depict a paradise complete with japanese garden, a bridge and pond.
I love catching a whiff of the fragrant fresh flowers as each float passes by. This one's truly pinoy! Nipa Hut inspired.
