When in Singapore, perfectly located on top of the spanking Vivo City ( ones’ gateway to Sentosa ) is Marche’ Swiss Market Restaurant. Friends have been raving about this place and so, it was #1 on my itinerary.
Hooray for a healthy dining concept! Their vision is to become the freshest gastronomy company. Feel, hear, see, smell and taste radical freshness and the high quality of dishes cooked with seasonal products from the region.
Marche’ have just entered into a new partnership with Switzerland Tourism that emphasizes how important their “home market” is to them. Enjoy the freshness of herbs in Marche’. It’s the season of herbs, the heart and soul of every freshly-prepared dish. This means a big NO to preservatives!
An array of delicious and mouth-watering swiss breads, tarts and crepes!
Live cooking stations packed in a Swiss Chalet setting, offering rotisseries, handmade pastas, salads and soups and a variety of grilled meat.
A Marche’ Guest Card is an electronic card which you present to the food attendants upon ordering. They just swipe your card for orders, then returns it back to you. You don’t have to shell out cash every time you order!
Here’s the cute wooden table top sign which says free or reserved. I heard this place is often (if not always) full after office hours until dinner. Better to reserve ahead of time. Good thing it was late lunch when we walked-in.
Spanish Paella Single Portion ( Good for 3 persons) SGD17.40 The grains, mushroom, red & green bell peppers were oozing with flavorful herbs and spices! Superb!
Chicken in Red Onion Pizza ( SGD 19.50 ) I asked for their best-seller pizza and the food attendant highly suggested this. OMG! True to her word, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and well-paired with the red onion topped generously with mozzarella cheese.
Fresh Prawn Pasta with Mixed Veggies in Cream Sauce (SGD 17.90) Taste the freshness of the prawns and vegetables in one creamy sauce. Such a delicious pasta!
Grilled Garlic Pork Sausage (100gms) SGD 7.80 Home-made Mashed Potato SG 2.50 Up to now, I can still vividly recall how flavorful this grilled sausage was! Awesome pairing with mushroom sauce and home made mashed potato. I’d also like to mention the yummy dips we had: The goodness of tomato ketchup, pesto, mustard and chili flakes.
Fresh Lemonade (small SGD 3.60/ large SGD 4,90 ) Healthy thirst quenchers, indeed!
Total cost for this bountiful feast? SGD 80.10 or approx Php2,723 for 3 persons. With a myriad of health conscious and organic food lovers here in the Philippines, I hope they could open a branch here soon, so that we can have our own Marche’ Healthy Dining ConceptWhen in Manila.
