Cafe By The Ruins Baguio

After the vibrant Panagbenga Festival, we were in dire need of a hearty breakfast place. We hailed a cab off to the famous Cafe by the Ruins

Indeed, it really is a place for friendship and fresh foods. I could extend my stay in Baguio and would never get tired of eating breakfast here. Reminds me so much of mouth-watering freshly baked warm breads plus healthy organic meals served in Sonya's Garden Tagaytay.

There is nothing more inviting than the delicious smell of freshly baked breads permeating the entrance to the cafe.

What makes it more charming? The cafe exudes a warm, rustic and homey ambiance. It also features arts and crafts from local artists.

My eyes were practically glued at the kitchen top, excited at the variety of organic meals being served during the morning breakfast rush.

All Breakfast Selections come with your choice of coffee or tea

....plus a fruit cup!

Mushroom Omelet Php230. Sauteed button or shitake mushroom in egg roll. Served with brown rice. (One can also opt for the fluffy eggs omelet with carabao and parmesan cheese filling.)

Filipino Lon-Si log Php245. Longganisang hubad (marinated pork cubes) brown rice served with sunny side-up egg.

Farmer's Morning Feast Php245. Thick slices of home-cured bacon, brown rice and sunny side up egg.

For lunch/dinner, other house specialties include: Shrimp and Mango Curry, Hundred Islands Sinigang, Baguio Bagnet, Beef Ribs Sinigang and a lot more!
