Merely 30 minutes away from the Mactan Cebu International Airport, lies a breathtakingly beautiful resort.
Truly a paradise on its own, the 5-star Plantation Bay Resort Hotel & Spa sprawls on a 11.4 hectare property in Lapu-Lapu City.
Frolic to your heart’s desire as you move from one saltwater lagoon to another. Its a vast 2.3 hectares! Don’t fancy saltwater? Don’t fret! freshwater pools abound.
Here is the facade of our Water’s Edge Room
You can jump right into the water in seconds! This is the most sought-after room, perfectly located at the edge of the lagoon.
Ahhhhhh! This is the life! This view from our veranda promises that well deserved rest & relaxation.
A welcome basket treat of goodies to nibble. These are famous Cebu delicacies: Dried Mango strips, Mango Tamarind & Pineapple candies, Turrones de mani. A liter of complimentary bottled water was also given.
Room amenities: LCD TV, coffee and tea making facilities as well as personal ref. And I really had to commend the strong Wi-Fi signal in almost any imaginable area. Applause for that!
2 comfy queen size beds for a family of four (4)
An elegant washroom, toilet & bath and such a luxurious tub, too!
In-house bath & body amenities
Would you like to see the stunning view at night?
Truly captivating! The resort is indeed an experience on its own. Indulge in such serene and tranquil scenery.
Can’t help but do an outfit of the day post here!
Have your fill of refreshments by the swim-up bar.
Surrounded by the gigantic swimming pool is the Kilimanjaro Cafe. Open 24 hours, it features international as well as Filipino cuisines. Their world famous breakfast buffet with different culinary themes for every day of the week is served here.
We opted for ala-carte dinner. They served complimentary fresh rolls and butter while we wait. A standard 20 mins cooking time is observed.
A steaming hot bowl of Cebu’s special Pochero
Medium stir-fried glass noodles. It’s basically pancit with a surprise seafood twist! It had squid, mushrooms, shrimps, chorizo and tahong on it.
And the very nutty Kare-kare. Flavorful!
We all enjoyed the sumptuous Pinoy dinner that night! Servings were huge and definitely good for sharing.
For you to grasp an idea of the menu prices. For our drinks (choice of soda, juice or beer) we used the complimentary welcome drink coupons that was given upon check-in.
Should you opt to dine fancily, there’s Fiji restaurant.
Situated by the beachfront, Fiji offers grilled seafood, Japanese, Korean and Asian fare.
You can request to dine here. perfect spot for couples celebrating honeymoon/anniversary
At night, one can leisurely enjoy the game room. There’s two billiard tables, air-hockey, arcade, and Nintendo Wii games for kids and kids at heart.
The next day, I woke up to a beautiful breakfast spread consisting of croissants, danish bread, cinnamon roll, cereals and an assortment of fresh fruits in season.
I am particularly drawn to Plantation Bay's Mogambo Springs. It simply is a sanctuary of health and relaxation!
The ambiance brings you to 18th century Tokugawa Japanese Village.
I can just stay here all day and whisk my worries for a day.
All of the treatments include full use of the spa's four hydrotherapeutic pools, massage waterfalls, the sauna and the steam room. The spa is open daily from 10AM to 11PM.
Words are not enough to explain the immense beauty of this resort as well as the 5 star treatment of all staff.
To live up to its 5 star service, Plantation Bay employs a NO TIPPING POLICY. Allowing guests to really relax without having to worry about whom, when and how much to tip. Service that is truly genuine and from the heart.
with such amazing facilities to cater to your each and every whim, who would’t like it here?

It is a foodie haven! There 4 great restos inside the resort. Take your pick from:
DeleteKilimanjaro -- serves buffet breakfast, international as well as filipino cuisine
Fiji -- serves grilled seafoods, korean, japanese, asian dishes
Palermo -- Italian Food. It is built in the style of a country courtyard
Savannah grill -- burgers, hotdogs, steaks, salad and more
I'm going to Cebu next week. This post couldn't have come at a better time! :)

It is! Makes you want to stay longer :)
DeleteAng ganda sis. Winner talaga yung pagbaba ng hagdan ay pool na agad. Been to Cebu last Feb but we didn't go to Plantation Bay. We only had a day tour of Shangrila Mactan. Hayy.. ka-miss ang swimming at food doon! :)
ReplyDeleteSis, the best tlga ang beaches sa cebu! :-) and yes, super convenient in just 1 minute direcho swim na agad! Super love it.
DeleteWow! Thanks for sharing, this post just really encourages me to travel and specifically go there. The Mogambo Springs, it reminds of a scene from a movie, can't remember what movie though. I'm pretty sure the view at night is mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteHi Kritz! Yup, it looks like a scene from a movie right? The Mogambo Spring brings us an ambiance of a gorgeous 18th Century Tokugawa Japanese Village. Glad to have shared it with you :-)
DeleteCarmi! Your post is super effective! I wanna go there! We're going in Cebu on Nov. but can you tell me more about the budget? :D
ReplyDeleteThanks sis! I would love to help you :-)
DeleteFirst, your preferred date Nov is perfect! It still falls on the off-peak season, so you get the rooms at off-peak rates! Yey! The cheapest room (the poolside room which is equally stunning, comfortable and spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids) is at $160++ ( approx P6,800 ++ taxes not included)
For 3 adults or more, an extra person rate is charged at $25. You may check the maximum occupancy of each room, description and rates at www.plantationbay.com
There are 4 restos in the resort, and my family and i frequent The Kilimanjaro Cafe. We love the Filipino dishes they serve! Servings are huge. 2 dishes can already fully satisy the 4 of us! Each dish costs P500 up. Just add 10% sevice charge. Breakfast is not inluded. I've read in their facebook page that they allow breads/crackers, noodles and bottled water o be taken inside the resort, but dishes, pizza boxes, resto take-outs and 1.5L softdrinks will be charked with corkage. But, you are in a glorious vacation, you might as well enjoy the sumptuous food offerings they have.
Frolic around the resort to your heart's desire! Get unlimited use of saltwater lagoons, freshwater pools, as well as the beach, Fitness center and gameroom, use of non motorized aqua sports like floater and kayaks, one hour bicycle, wall climbing activity and free strong wifi in every imaginable area (even while walking around) awaits you!
Roundtrip airport transfers are also FREE of charge. Plus, the resort employs a NO TIPPING policy allowing guests to fully relax and not to shell out extra money for services.
I'am excited for your trip. Happy Vacation! Share to us your photos as well. :-)
Also, a DAYTRIPPER ADVENTURE PACKAGE is available. I have posted the details below.
