Village Tavern ( Bonifacio High Street )

Village Tavern, member of the prestigious Bistro Group, celebrates classic American food. It has captured the hearts of Bonifacio High Street crowd in search of the perfect place for comfort food in a sophisticated and cozy ambiance.

I instantly fell in love with the rustic antler chandeliers, booth chairs and red cushions. The place tastefully exudes class, in a none intimidating way. This will always be a special occasion choice for many couples as well as large groups.

Being the tavern that it is, have your fill of a variety of liquors, wines, signature & classic cocktails, beers and premium wines. They were playing John Mayer's music videos and any girl would love to hang-out at The bar and order refreshments while drooling errr, watching.

The Jewel of Village Tavern, The Black Pizza php395 is a wonderful creation by the Corporate Chef for Bistro Group, Chef Josh Boutwood. Think squid ink pizza dough graciously topped with parmesan, gruyere and mozarella cheeses, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers as well as onions.

Another Tavern bestseller is the Grilled Chicken Penne Php425. A delicious combination of crispy pancetta, grilled chicken, and caramelized onions in basil cream sauce.

True to its brand promise, it brings people together, with huge servings good enough for sharing.

For more intimate dinners, one may opt to dine al fresco overlooking the bustling and vibrant Bonifacio High Street Central.

We guzzled up on soda, but it was a delight to see lemons, cucumber and mint infused detox service water for a change. How creatively refreshing!

I will surely be back for more! Next on my to-try-list are the Mary Land Crab cakes, the Forest Pizza and the rustic whole wheat flat breads made from scratch.
