Davao Countryside Tour

Pearl Farm Resort also offers city tour as well as countryside tour. We had the option to choose between a car or a van.

We opted for the Toyota van. Spacious indeed! Wide leg-room! Rate is P2,500 for 6 hours. (Surcharge applies beyond allotted time)

Tour starts with shopping spree at the Madrazo Fruit Stand to taste Davao's famed fruits. Most popular brand goes to Nenita's pegged at P600/box.

Next is Aldevinco Shopping Center. (No pictures! Sorry!) It boasts of over a hundred shops selling pearls, native products like batik (tie-dyed) dusters, bags, tribal malongs, and souvenir shirts.

Welcome to Lola Abon's Durian Delicacies. Try the Special Durian candy, yema, bars and of course.... ice cream!!!

Out to the countryside, Agto ta Malagos!

Malagos Garden Resort
is a 12 hectare inland nature theme resort in Bgy. Malagos, Calinan, Davao. It has the amenities of a full service resort with overnight rooms and accommodations, function and seminar halls, restaurants, landscaped gardens, bird park, butterfly sanctuary, wildlife species, swimming pool as well children's playground.

The best part of this trip?!

My encounter with Puentespina Farmhouse Malagos Cheese! I've been drooling over these assortment of cheese at Rustan's Supermarket, and was wondering where it came from.

Tadaa!
Say Hello to my purchases!
Feta, Blue Goat & Fresh Goat

Thanks to the city's hardworking and passionate artisan cum young entrepreneur, Olive Puentespina, the woman behind Malagos FarmHouse Cheese. She's an amazing proof that the best cheeses are not only made in Europe.

Bird feeding at the park! It was sooo much fun!

The happy face on my dad seeing a Durian tree! Hahahaha...

Lets hop on to the Philippine Eagle Center. OH Pag-asa! what a thrill and honor to see you. The first Philippine Eagle bred and hatched in captivity, turned 20 last January.

Jack's Ridge as the last stop of this tour.
Weather was quite chilly and we settled for Karlo's Gourmet and Coffee. A warm cup of coffee and yummy cake of the month (mini red cake above) was just, perfect.

Have you been here too?
What have you enjoyed the most?
